Real-time Australian Market Data: Netquote

Netquote Information Services is one of the leading suppliers of real-time market data in the Australia.

With a subscription to the Netquote data service and the Hoadley Finance Add-in for Excel you can include Australian market real-time streaming quotes (dynamically updating without the need to refresh) in your spreadsheets and spreadsheet applications.

A function Wizard in the Finance Add-in for Excel guides you through the simple process of inserting streaming quotes into your own spreadsheet cells. No programming is required and the add-in includes sample worksheets containing examples using Netquote data.  Streaming quotes can also be used in the Options Strategy Evaluation Tool to update stock and index prices so strategies can be instantly revalued using the latest prices.

The types of instruments supported include equities, and indices traded on the Australian Stock Exchange. Note that options quotes are not currently available through Netquote.

By subscribing to the Netquote service you will be able to use the full range of Netquote's services such as their EquityPro application, as well as using the data feed in the Hoadley Finance add-in and applications. 
 

Quotes for equites and indices require Microsoft Excel version 2002 (office XP) or above. The Netquote service cannot be used with the Finance Add-in for Excel on earlier versions of Excel as the real-time data technology (RTD)  required for a robust streaming service was first released in Excel 2002.
